FLOWER BATATA RASSA - Maharashtrian CAULIFLOWER AND POTATO CURRY
Ingredients
180-200 gms cauliflower florets, washed and cut
1potato, peeled and cut
¼ cup green peas
5-6 cloves of garlic
¼ cup grated coconut
1inch ginger
6-7 curry leaves
2-3 green chillies
1 tomato, cut
1-2 onions, sliced
Small bunch of coriander leaves
½ tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp cumin seeds
½ tsp turmeric powder
Pinch of Hing
1-2 tbsp Shilpas Masala mill everyday masala
½ tsp Shilpas Masala mill Special garam masala
Salt to taste
Oil
INSTRUCTIONS
Grind together grated coconut, coriander, green chillies, ginger and garlic to a fine paste
Heat oil in a kadhai
Add mustard, cumin, curry leaves and onion
Add hing and fry for a few minutes until translucent
Add all dry masala powders and fry for a few minutes
Add the ground coconut paste
Fry this until oil separates on surface
Add cauliflower, peas and potato
Mix well
Add garam masala and little coriander leaves
Add hot water and simmer covered for around 5-6 minutes
Now add tomato and adjust salt
Now continue to cook it covered for another 10 mins
that's it, your tasty Flower Batata Rassa is ready
