GREEN MOONG WITH PANEER

INGREDIENTS

200 gms green moong, soaked overnight 

  • Oil 

  • 3-4 cloves+badi elachi( without skin) + dalchini Made to powder form 

  • ½ tsp jeera seeds 

  • 7-8 garlic pods, chopped

  • Little Ginger, chopped

  • 2 onions, chopped

  • 1 tsp coriander powder 

  • 1 tsp Shilpa’s Masala Mill Kashmiri chilli powder 

  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder 

  • Salt to taste 

  • 1 tsp Shilpa’s Masala mill Kitchen King Masala 

  • 2 tomatoes, chopped

  • 100 gms Paneer 

  • 3-4 green chillies 

  • Little Coriander leaves 

  • 1 tsp Shilpa's Masala Mill Special Garam Masala 

  • ½ tsp Kasuri Methi 

  • ¼ tsp amchur powder 

INSTRUCTIONS 

Blend together paneer, green chillies and coriander leaves with little water to make a paste. Keep aside to use later.

pressure cook the green moong with turmeric and salt (2 whistles) 

  • Cool and keep aside to use later 

  • Add oil in a kadhai 

  • Add the powdered masala 

  • Add jeera 

  • Add garlic and onion and fry for some time 

  • Add ginger and sauté for a few minutes 

  • Add the dry spice powders and salt and sauté for 2-3 minutes 

  • Add tomatoes and mix well

  • Cover and cook until tomatoes are softened 

  • Add the prepared ground paneer paste and fry. Add water to get the desired consistency

Cook this mixture for 3-4 minutes until oil separates on surface

Add the cooked moong and simmer

Add garam masala, amchur powder and Kasuri methi and further cook for a few (3-4) minutes 

  • Optional - give tadka with ghee, jeera and Kashmiri chilli powder ) 

  • That’s it, your super delicious and nutritious Moong is ready

Enjoy with rice, roti, paratha
