HYDERABAD'S FAMOUS KARACHI BISCUIT VEGETARIAN TUTTI FRUTTI BISCUITS April 29, 2021 Shilpa Anand INGREDIENTS ½ cup unsalted butter, softened½ cup powdered sugar ( grind regular sugar) ½ tsp cardamom powder ½ tsp pineapple essence or rose essence 1cup maida ¼ cup custard powder 2-3 tbsp of cashew powder ½ tsp baking powder A pinch of salt ½ cup tutti frutti Few Chopped cashewsINSTRUCTIONS Cream together the butter and sugar for around 4-5 mins Add essence and cardamom powder and orange zest Add rest of the dry ingredients to the butter mixture in stages and combine Add tutti frutti and cashew nuts Mix with spatula Bind the mixture with your handIf mixture is dry you can add 2-3 tbsp of milkRoll the mixture into a cylindrical shape first and then into rectangular shape Wrap with cling wrap and keep in fridge for 2-3 hours Remove and cut ¼ inch thickness Arrange on baking tray Bake at 170 c for 12-15 mins ( until the bottom turns golden brown) Remove and allow to coolThat’s it, your Hyderabads famous Karachi Biscuits are ready
