VALACHE BIRDE - FIELD BEANS CURRY
INGREDIENTS for green masala
½ cup coconut
4-5 garlic cloves
1-2 green chillies
½ inch ginger
Small cinnamon stick
2-3 cloves
Coriander ( small bunch )
INSTRUCTIONS
grind together to form paste
OTHER INGREDIENTS
1 cup vaal , soaked, sprouted and de skinned
1Onion , chopped
1tomato, chopped half
1-2 tbsp Chilli powder
½ tbsp Shilpa’s Masala Mill Special Garam masala
½ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp hing
1tsp Cumin seeds
Salt to taste
Oil
Coriander for garnish
(Note: You may substitute garam masala + chilli powder with Shilpa’s Masala Mill Everyday Masala)
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat oil in kadhai
Add jeera, onion and fry for few mins
Add little tomato , chilli powder, turmeric and coriander leaves
Fry for 2-3 mins
Add the Vaal and mix it well
Add green masala,garam masala and salt
Add hot water and cover and simmer for 10 -15 mins until vaal is tender
Add halved tomato and lemon juice and switch off gas
Garnish with coriander leaves
Your healthy and delicious Vaalache birde is ready
Enjoy hot with rice
