Cauliflower pepper Fry
This recipe is a quick and easy but delicious and flavorful dish made with pepper masala .
It is a healthy dish ( as it is not deep fried) which is suitable for vegetarians, vegan as well as keto friendly.
Enjoy as a side with Rotis or rice.
GOBHI PEPPER FRY
INGREDIENTS
300-350 gms of cauliflower, cut into florets and soaked in hot water for 5-10 mins
1 ½ tsp of whole peppercorns
1tsp fennel
1tsp cumin seeds(jeera)
2-3 dry chilies
1inch cinnamon stick
3 cloves
1-2 tbsp oil
1tbsp crushed ginger and garlic
1med onion chopped
¼ tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves for garnish
A few curry leaves
INSTRUCTIONS
Dry roast fennel, peppercorns, cinnamon, dry chilies, cloves, and jeera on med-low for 2-3 mins until fragrant. Do not burn the spices
Grind the spices to a powder
Heat oil in a pan
Add ginger garlic and curry leaves
Sauté for a min
Add chopped onion and sauté for 1-2 mins
Add cauliflower florets
Add salt and turmeric powder. Mix well
Cover and cook on low flame for 5-8 mins
Now add the prepared spice powder
Mix well
Cook on low flame for another 5-6 mins or until cauliflower florets are cooked
Garnish with coriander leaves
Switch off gas
Your easy and delicious gobhi pepper fry is ready
Serve hot with Rotis, phulkas
