BARDOLI JALARAM KHICHADI
INGREDIENTS
1tbsp ghee
1tbsp oil
2bay leaves
1cinnamon stick
3cloves
3cardamom
7-10 curry leaves
¼ tsp hing
15-20 peanuts
½ cup bottle gourd
2-3 brinjals
½ cup carrots
1medium potato
½ cup green peas
1medium tomato
1.5 inch ginger
1onion chopped
2-4 garlic
Turmeric
Green chilly paste
¾ cup rice
¼ cup Tuvar dal
¼ cup split green gram
¼ cup Moong dal
Salt to taste
Water
INSTRUCTIONS
Soak rice and daals for atleast 2 hours
Chop all vegetables
HEAT oil and ghee in deep kadhai
Add onion, and whole masalas
Add vegetables , and all other ingredients
Add 3 cups water and simmer
Add2 cups hot water later and cook for 15 mins
Consistency Shd be soft and slightly runny ( Khichadi texture)
INGREDIENTS FOR TADKA
1tsp ghee
1tsp oil
½ tsp cumin seeds
Curry leaves
Hing
2-3 dry red chilies
1tsp grated coconut
INSTRUCTIONS
temper all ingredients and pour over the prepared Khichadi
Serve hot with papad, Kadhi ,pickle and kachumber
